We are pleased to announce that JWMS Law Firm’s partner Mateusz Staszek, r.p.s. has obtained an entry on the list of IP Scan contractors published by the Polish Patent Office. Thus, JWMS Law Firm expands the scope of its services with IP Scan.

Under IP Scan, a micro, small or medium-sized entrepreneur can obtain a grant from EU funds, i.e. the Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurs’ Budget, for the service performed by JWMS of auditing the intellectual property resources of his company. The analysis prepared in this way includes information on the intellectual property owned, as well as the possibilities for its protection and exploitation. We are talking in particular about the protection of inventions, trademarks, industrial designs, business secrets or copyrights, including licensing of all kinds of intellectual property rights.

An entrepreneur deciding to take advantage of the IP Scan service can obtain up to 630 euros in funding from the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Budget. This amount can cover up to 90% of the cost of performing the IP Scan service.

The standard scope of IP Scan activities is:

• Getting acquainted with your company’s activities and its intellectual property potential;
• Conducting an interview with a representative of your company (in person or remotely);
• Preparing a report on the IP Scan service;
• Approval of the report by the UPRP;
• Will present it to you (in person or remotely), along with recommendations for IP protection measures.
